We are glad to see the xconcept of divorce mediation making news. There are an increased number of mediators in the state which is positive--there are also attorneys who are acting as mediators and then representing one of the parties at the divorce hearing--a NO NO--a TABOO. Doing so results in a lack of NEUTRALITY--an inability to assist the other party with suggested changes, additions or alterations to the memorandum of understanding. Don't allow yourself to be fooled-the attorney who mediates cannot be an advocate in an adversarial process for either party!!!
